THE MINT MORPHO TWIN TAXIDERMY BUTTERFLIES (MORPHO CATENARIUS) - HORIZONTAL WOODEN FRAME

BugsDirect

Highly valued by collectors, the Mint Morpho (Morpho catenarius) is a large Neotropical butterfly found in Brazil. As with all of our specimens these are captive bred.

Morpho catenarius has a wingspan of about 75–100 millimetres (3.0–3.9 in). This species lacks the usual bright blue coloration of many Morpho species. The translucent surfaces of the wings vary from a pale blue colour to almost white. The edges of the wings show a series of black spots, while the hindwings are crossed by several small "eyes."

Beautifully mounted in a black double sided glass frame which is approximately 200 x 172 x 25mm.
