A beautifully polished free form specimen of Labradorite, hand-cut with a flat base for effortless display. Each piece is graded by weight, so dimensions will vary naturally, and the unique character of each stone — in colour, pattern, shape, and finish — means no two specimens are alike.
Labradorite is celebrated for its extraordinary optical phenomenon known as labradorescence — a vivid, shifting play of colour caused by light refracting between microscopic internal layers of the stone. Depending on the angle of light, a single specimen can flash electric blue, teal, gold, violet, and green in rapid succession. This effect, combined with the organic sculptural form of each piece, makes Labradorite free forms among the most visually dramatic mineral specimens available.
A stone long associated with transformation and intuition, Labradorite is said to strengthen the imagination, calm an overactive mind, and reveal the magic in everyday life.
Natural variations in colour, pattern, shape, and finish are to be expected; every specimen is entirely unique and may differ from those pictured.
