A fine A1 dry-preserved specimen of Dilochrosis balteata, a jewel-like flower beetle (subfamily Cetoniinae) from South-East Asia. Members of the Dilochrosis genus are prized among coleopterists for their compact form and richly patterned elytra, which display subtle metallic and contrasting banding under good light — balteata referring to the distinctive banded markings that characterise this species.
Expertly dry-preserved to museum standard, unmounted and ready for pinning, display, or use in specimen art. Each piece is individually selected for condition integrity.
Suitable for Cetoniinae and Scarabaeidae collections, entomological study, natural history displays, shadow boxes, and specimen art.

This was part of a double order, same as my other review. I’m new to pinning as a hobby in my spare time. From what I can tell they’re good specimens with plenty of variety. My only gripe is that they didn’t come with ID but that wouldn’t stop me from ordering again. Hopefully ID can be added to future purchases.
