Septaria – tunnetaan myös nimellä septaariset kyhmyt – ovat yksi visuaalisesti kiehtovimmista kivistä mineraalimaailmassa. Niiden nimi juontuu latinankielisestä sanasta septum (väliseinä), viitaten kiven sisäisiin halkeamiin ja kammioihin, jotka muodostavat jokaiselle kappaleelle tunnusomaisen verkoston.
Nämä kyhmyt muodostuivat miljoonia vuosia sitten, kun tulivuorenpurkaukset tappoivat pieniä merieläimiä ja sedimentit kerrostuivat niiden jäänteiden ympärille. Ajan myötä materiaali kovettui, kutistui ja halkeili sisäänpäin, täyttyen vastavärisistä mineraaleista, jotka loivat rohkean, geometrisen kuvion, joka tekee jokaisesta septaarisesta näytteestä täysin ainutlaatuisen.
Tämä vapaamuotoinen leikkaus korostaa kiven luonnollisia muotoja, kun kiillotettu pinta tuo esiin värin ja sisäisen rakenteen täyden syvyyden – lämpimät ruskeat, okran sävyt ja harmaa-mustat saumat, jotka vaihtuvat valon mukaan.

This was part of a double order, same as my other review. I’m new to pinning as a hobby in my spare time. From what I can tell they’re good specimens with plenty of variety. My only gripe is that they didn’t come with ID but that wouldn’t stop me from ordering again. Hopefully ID can be added to future purchases.
