Tervetuloa BugsDirect Ltd:lle. Johtava maailmanlaajuisten hyönteistieteellisten näytteiden toimittaja (vähittäis- ja tukkumyynti)
Aito eoseenikauden fossiilikala, joka on säilynyt muinaisten Pohjois-Amerikan makeanveden järvien hienorakeisessa kivimassassa.
Eoseenikauden (33,9–56 miljoonaa vuotta sitten) kalafossiilit edustavat fossiilikerrostumassa joitakin varhaisimpia hyvin säilyneitä selkärankaisten jäänteitä. Parvissa eläneitä esihistoriallisia kaloja löytyy usein hämmästyttävän läheltä toisiaan – toisinaan jopa päällekkäin – mikä tarjoaa elävän katsauksen muinaisen vesielämän dynamiikkaan. Näiden näytteiden tutkimus kuuluu paleoiktyologian alaan, ja niiden runsaus tekee niistä yhden helpoimmin lähestyttävistä tavoista aloittaa vakava fossiilien keräily.
Nämä ovat aitoja fossiileja. Valmistajien on tavallista levittää kivimassaan ruskeaa suojaavaa väriainetta ja rekonstruoida evien asentoja kevyesti näytteen havainnollistamiseksi – kyseessä on vakiintunut käytäntö, joka helpottaa tulkintaa vähentämättä fossiilin aitoutta. Jokainen kappale valitaan käsin ilmoitetun kokoluokan varastosta; väri, kivimassan ominaisuudet ja säilyneisyyden yksityiskohdat vaihtelevat luonnonnäytteen tavoin. Kuva on ainoastaan suuntaa-antava.

Asettelu ja kokoelma:
Erinomainen aloitustason fossiili uusille keräilijöille, kouluille ja luonnonhistoriallisiin näyttelyihin. Sopii hyvin muiden eoseenikauden näytteiden ja Green River -muodostuman materiaalin rinnalle tai selkärankaisten edustajaksi laajempaan esihistorialliseen kokoelmaan.

Great specimen but looks like some weighted object was used to flatten the centipede prior to drying, would like to see a thicker specimen hitting the shelves guys
