טורמלין הוא מינרל גבישי מסוג סיליקט בורון, המורכב מיסודות ובהם אלומיניום, ברזל, מגנזיום, נתרן, ליתיום ואשלגן. הוא מסווג כאבן חצי־יקרה ומופיע בקשת רחבה של צבעים — טורמלין שחור (שורל) הוא הזן הנפוץ ביותר, ומוערך בזכות מבנה הגביש הבולט והמפורץ והברק העמוק שלו.
יש להרחיק מאור שמש ישיר וממושך כדי לשמור על ברק פני השטח. יש להסיר אבק בעזרת מברשת רכה ויבשה. אידאלית לאספנים, מעצבי פנים, אנשי חינוך ולכל מי שנמשך לעוצמה הגולמית של מינרלים טבעיים.

packed beautifully, sent fast. only issue is a bit of mold growth on one specimen, but nothing that can't be fixed with some isopropyl alcohol
