これらの本物のカーチャロクレス・メガロドンの歯の化石は38～60mmの範囲で、アメリカ・フロリダ州の化石豊富な中新世の堆積物から産出されました。巨大な成体よりは小さいものの、これらの歯は幼若または亜成体のメガロドンに属し、彼らは約2300万年前から360万年前まで海を支配し、全長18メートルを超えることもありました。
