Elk stuk is met de hand geslepen met een vlakke basis voor moeiteloze presentatie en gewogen voor classificatie, waardoor de afmetingen natuurlijk kunnen variëren.
Amazoniet is bijzonder overvloedig in Colorado, VS, wat deze variëteit haar karakteristieke regionale bijnaam geeft. Lange tijd beschouwd als de steen van hoop, wordt het geassocieerd met kalmte, balans en stressvermindering — wat het net zo betekenisvol als mooi maakt.
