Trimeresurus albolabris is een opvallend mooie en medisch belangrijke boombewonende groefadder die voorkomt in Zuid- en Zuidoost-Azië — van India en Zuid-China via het Maleisisch schiereiland tot de Indonesische archipel. Met zijn levendige smaragdgroene kleur, kenmerkende witte laterale streep en witte onderste labiale schubben — de bron van het epitheton albolabris, dat ‘witlippig’ betekent — is hij een van de meest visueel iconische adders van Azië. Als crotaline beschikt hij over een loreale put, een uiterst gevoelig infrarooddetecterend zintuiglijk orgaan tussen het oog en het neusgat, waarmee hij warmbloedige prooien met buitengewone precisie in volledige duisternis kan detecteren. This was part of a double order, same as my other review. I’m new to pinning as a hobby in my spare time. From what I can tell they’re good specimens with plenty of variety. My only gripe is that they didn’t come with ID but that wouldn’t stop me from ordering again. Hopefully ID can be added to future purchases.
