Os membros do género Euchomenella são conhecidos pela forma corporal excecionalmente alongada — entre as mais estreitas de todos os mantídeos —, com membros longos e finos e uma aparência estreita, semelhante à de um pau, que proporciona uma camuflagem excecional entre gramíneas e ciperáceas. Este domínio críptico da camuflagem, combinado com a graciosidade predatória característica do género, torna Euchomenella heteroptera um espécime fascinante e muito procurado para qualquer coleção de Mantodea.
Preservado a seco segundo o padrão A1, este espécime não montado mantém uma excelente integridade estrutural e a forma natural, estando pronto para ser fixado com alfinete, emoldurado ou exposto.
Adequado para coleções de Mantodea e de entomologia, exposições de história natural, estudo científico, emolduramento e arte com espécimes. Uma espécie invulgar e visualmente dramática, raramente encontrada em coleções do Reino Unido.
