Männchen zeigen die charakteristische dreihörnige Morphologie: ein markantes Kopfhorn und zwei thorakale Fortsätze, die im Territorialkampf eingesetzt werden. Diese prächtigen Käfer gehören zu den größten und stärksten Insekten der Erde.
