Suoraan kotiovellesi
Yksi Kaakkois-Aasian vaikuttavimmista hyönteisistä, Neocerambyx gigas on Cerambycidae-heimon jättiläinen. Thaimaasta peräisin oleva jokainen näyte on yksilöllisesti kuivattuna säilytetty ja levitetty museostandardin mukaisesti — esitellen lajin runsasrakenteiset samettiset peitinsiivet syvän kastanjanruskeina sekä vaikuttavan pitkät, segmentoitu antennit, jotka määrittävät pitkäkärsäkärpästen suvun. Keskipisteenä toimiva näyte kaikille vakaville kovakuoriais- tai luonnonhistoriakokoelmille.
Neocerambyx gigas on yksi suurimmista pitkäkärsäkärpäsistä. Suuret koiraat ovat erityisen arvostettuja vahvojen mittasuhteidensa ja vaikuttavan olemuksensa vuoksi — laji, joka kertoo trooppisen biodiversiteetin loistosta ja pysäyttää jokaisen vierailijan.
