Draco volans volans (Drago Volante Comune) – Un esemplare di lucertola volante di qualità museale in condizioni A1, sapientemente conservato a secco e montato in posizione spalancata per mostrare completamente il patagio. Questo individuo si distingue per una coda naturalmente curva, che aggiunge un’ulteriore dimensione di carattere e individualità a un esemplare già eccezionale.
Draco volans è la specie tipo del genere — il drago volante originale da cui tutti gli altri prendono il nome — distribuito in Giava, Bali e nelle isole adiacenti dell’arcipelago indonesiano. Il nome è una doppia dichiarazione: Draco significa ‘drago’ e volans significa ‘volante’ — rendendo questo letteralmente il ‘drago volante’, la specie che ha definito il genere e ha dato a tutto il gruppo la sua identità evocativa. Un’aggiunta tassonomicamente fondamentale, biogeograficamente significativa e visivamente eccezionale a qualsiasi seria collezione di storia naturale o studio erpetologico.

This was part of a double order, same as my other review. I’m new to pinning as a hobby in my spare time. From what I can tell they’re good specimens with plenty of variety. My only gripe is that they didn’t come with ID but that wouldn’t stop me from ordering again. Hopefully ID can be added to future purchases.
