Le septarie — conosciute anche come noduli septariani — sono tra le pietre più affascinanti dal punto di vista visivo nel mondo minerale. Il loro nome deriva dal latino septum (partizione), un riferimento alla sorprendente rete di crepe e camere interne che definiscono ogni pezzo.
Questi noduli si sono formati milioni di anni fa quando l’attività vulcanica uccise piccoli organismi marini e i sedimenti si accumularono intorno ai loro resti. Col tempo il materiale si è indurito, ristretto e ha creato crepe verso l’interno, riempiendosi di minerali contrastanti per creare il motivo geometrico audace che rende ogni esemplare septariano completamente unico.
Questo taglio a forma libera mette in risalto i contorni naturali della pietra mentre la superficie lucidata esalta la profondità completa del colore e della struttura interna — caldi marroni, ocra e venature grigio-nerastre che cambiano con la luce.
Pulire con un panno morbido e asciutto. Si presenta magnificamente su una mensola, una scrivania o in una collezione di minerali. Un pezzo di conversazione coinvolgente per collezionisti, educatori e interior designer.

This was part of a double order, same as my other review. I’m new to pinning as a hobby in my spare time. From what I can tell they’re good specimens with plenty of variety. My only gripe is that they didn’t come with ID but that wouldn’t stop me from ordering again. Hopefully ID can be added to future purchases.
