Formata nel corso di milioni di anni mentre l'acqua ricca di minerali depositava strato dopo strato di silice all'interno delle cavità di rocce vulcaniche brasiliane, l'agata è una delle pietre più visivamente complesse della natura. Un singolo taglio preciso attraverso il centro di ogni nodulo svela tutta la storia — bande traslucide di colore, motivi intricati e un interno cristallino che nessuna superficie potrebbe suggerire. Ogni fetta viene poi accuratamente lucidata per esaltare la luminosità naturale della pietra.
Disponibili in un vibrante blu o in un ricco verde — entrambi intensificati con tintura per esaltare le bande naturali della pietra — queste fette da 12,5 cm (5") sono altrettanto sorprendenti retroilluminate quanto esposte in piano.
