Chiamato con il termine greco per il blu, la cianite è uno dei cristalli più visivamente distintivi del mondo minerale. Le sue lunghe formazioni a lama catturano la luce con una lucentezza setosa e perlacea che la distingue dalle pietre da esposizione più comuni. Proveniente dal Brasile e montata su una base solida in metallo, questo grande esemplare da 3 kg crea un impatto notevole in qualsiasi collezione, ambiente interno o esposizione.
A differenza di molti cristalli che crescono in gruppi o punte, la cianite si forma in strutture allungate a forma di lama — un’architettura naturale che conferisce a ogni pezzo una qualità scultorea, quasi architettonica.
