Questo autentico fossile di dente di Carcharocles megalodon misura ben 120 mm e proviene dai ricchi depositi fossiliferi dell’Indonesia, una località rinomata per i grandi denti di squalo preistorico ben conservati. Il megalodonte, il più grande squalo predatore mai comparso negli oceani terrestri, dominò gli ecosistemi marini tra 23 e 3,6 milioni di anni fa, raggiungendo una lunghezza stimata fino a 18 metri.
