L’ambra birmana — o burmite — è tra le ambre più importanti dal punto di vista scientifico e ricercate al mondo. Proveniente dalla Valle di Hukawng, nel Myanmar settentrionale, risale al Cretaceo medio, circa 99 milioni di anni fa, il che la rende una delle ambre fossili più antiche disponibili in commercio. La sua straordinaria antichità colloca le inclusioni nell’era dei dinosauri, offrendo una rara e diretta finestra sugli ecosistemi delle foreste cretaciche.
Informazioni sulle inclusioni nell’ambra
Le inclusioni nell’ambra sono organismi rimasti inglobati nella resina di alberi antichi — non nella linfa — milioni di anni fa. Quando la resina avvolse il reperto, iniziò un naturale processo di polimerizzazione, indurendosi dapprima fino a diventare copale e, dopo milioni di anni di seppellimento e pressione geologica, trasformandosi infine in vera ambra. Il risultato è una finestra su un mondo scomparso: organismi preservati con dettagli straordinari, sospesi nel tempo come se fossero stati catturati solo ieri.

This was part of a double order, same as my other review. I’m new to pinning as a hobby in my spare time. From what I can tell they’re good specimens with plenty of variety. My only gripe is that they didn’t come with ID but that wouldn’t stop me from ordering again. Hopefully ID can be added to future purchases.
