Questa sottospecie nominotipica è immediatamente riconoscibile per le sue dense setole corporee vellutate (da cui deriva il nome della specie, velutina, che significa vellutata), la colorazione vivace e l'imponente apertura alare. Un esemplare da esposizione che cattura l'attenzione sia fissato in un cassetto da collezione sia montato dietro vetro.

This was part of a double order, same as my other review. I’m new to pinning as a hobby in my spare time. From what I can tell they’re good specimens with plenty of variety. My only gripe is that they didn’t come with ID but that wouldn’t stop me from ordering again. Hopefully ID can be added to future purchases.
