Uno degli insetti più imponenti del Sud-est asiatico, Neocerambyx gigas è il gigante della famiglia Cerambycidae. Proveniente dalla Thailandia, ogni esemplare è conservato a secco singolarmente e disposto secondo gli standard museali — mostrando gli elitre riccamente strutturati e vellutati di un profondo marrone castagna, e le antenne segmentate e straordinariamente lunghe che caratterizzano la linea dei longhorn. Un esemplare centrale per qualsiasi collezione seria di Coleotteri o storia naturale.
Neocerambyx gigas è tra i più grandi scarabei longhorn esistenti. I maschi di grandi dimensioni sono particolarmente apprezzati per le loro proporzioni robuste e la presenza imponente — una specie che rappresenta la grandiosità della biodiversità tropicale e cattura l’attenzione di ogni visitatore.
