Queste straordinarie sculture di Orthoceras sono fossilizzate in una densa pietra calcarea nera, con le loro caratteristiche conchiglie simili a proiettili preservate con notevole dettaglio. Ogni pezzo racconta 400 milioni di anni di storia naturale: le camere piene di gas che un tempo mantenevano galleggianti questi antichi nautiloidi sono ora imprigionate nella pietra, spesso raggruppate come quando venivano trasportate dalle correnti marine del Devoniano.

This was part of a double order, same as my other review. I’m new to pinning as a hobby in my spare time. From what I can tell they’re good specimens with plenty of variety. My only gripe is that they didn’t come with ID but that wouldn’t stop me from ordering again. Hopefully ID can be added to future purchases.
