Eutropis multifasciata è uno degli scinchi più abbondanti e diffusi nel Sud e Sud-est asiatico — distribuito dall’India e Sri Lanka fino alla Cina meridionale, la Penisola Malese, l’arcipelago indonesiano, le Filippine e oltre — dove è un abitante familiare che si crogiola al sole ai margini delle foreste, nei giardini, nelle terre agricole e nelle boscaglie aperte. L’epiteto specifico multifasciata significa ‘molte bande’, riferendosi al caratteristico motivo a strisce laterali della specie, con molte linee chiare che corrono lungo i fianchi. Gli Scincidae — gli scinchi — sono la famiglia di lucertole più grande al mondo, con oltre 1.500 specie descritte, e una delle radiazioni squamate più ecologicamente diverse, che spaziano da specie completamente dotate di arti e attive in superficie come E. multifasciata a forme limbless e fossorie che assomigliano convergentemente a serpenti. Un esemplare liscio, lucido e ben proporzionato che rappresenta la famiglia di lucertole più grande al mondo — e un’aggiunta scientificamente istruttiva a qualsiasi collezione seria di storia naturale o studio erpetologico.

This was part of a double order, same as my other review. I’m new to pinning as a hobby in my spare time. From what I can tell they’re good specimens with plenty of variety. My only gripe is that they didn’t come with ID but that wouldn’t stop me from ordering again. Hopefully ID can be added to future purchases.
