Theopompa servillei è una mantide religiosa robusta e raramente incontrata della famiglia Mantidae, diffusa nel Sud e Sud-est asiatico. Membro del genere Theopompa — un gruppo caratterizzato da una forma corporea ampia e appiattita e da una colorazione mimetica simile alla corteccia — servillei è una specie ben adattata alla vita su tronchi e superfici di corteccia, dove il suo motivo maculato marrone e grigio la rende altamente efficace come mimetismo. Raramente presente nelle collezioni, è un esemplare di reale interesse tassonomico e un’acquisizione preziosa per i collezionisti specializzati nella diversità dei Mantodea o nei gruppi di mantidi mimetiche della corteccia del Sud-est asiatico.
