Draco hennigiは、地球上でも有数の生物多様性を誇り、Draco属の固有種が多く見られるスンダ諸島において、ボルネオ島のみに分布するトビトカゲです。本種は、分岐学および系統分類学の創始者であり、1966年の著書Phylogenetic Systematicsによって、生物学者がすべての生物の分類と相互関係を理解する方法を根本的に変えた、ドイツの昆虫学者・進化生物学者ヴィリ・ヘニッヒ（1913～1976年）にちなんで命名されました。そのため、本種はこの属の中でも特に学術的意義の高い名前を持っています。科学的に価値が高く、生物地理学的にも重要で、視覚的にも卓越した本標本は、本格的な自然史コレクションや爬虫類学研究にふさわしい一品です。
