ドミニカ産琥珀は、バルト産琥珀と比べて特に希少で、入手も困難です。バルト産琥珀はより古く、産出量も多い一方、ドミニカ産琥珀は、絶滅したマメ科樹木Hymenaea proteraの樹脂から形成されたもので、極めて高い透明度と、内包物の驚くべき頻度および品質で珍重されています。
琥珀の内包物について
琥珀の内包物とは、数百万年前に古代の樹脂に閉じ込められた生物です。樹液ではありません。樹脂が標本を包み込むと、自然な重合が始まり、まずコパルへと硬化します。そして数百万年にわたる埋没と地質学的圧力を経て、最終的に本物の琥珀へと変化します。その結果、失われた世界をのぞく窓が生まれます。生物が驚くほど細部まで保存され、まるで昨日捕らえられたかのように、時の中で静止しているのです。
内包物の凍結された細部を十分に鑑賞するため、拡大鏡などの使用をおすすめします。

This was part of a double order, same as my other review. I’m new to pinning as a hobby in my spare time. From what I can tell they’re good specimens with plenty of variety. My only gripe is that they didn’t come with ID but that wouldn’t stop me from ordering again. Hopefully ID can be added to future purchases.
