海生爬虫類の一群である首長竜類（Plesiosauria）の本物の歯の化石です。首長竜類は、中生代に世界の海を生息域としていた、絶滅した大型で長い首を持つ海生爬虫類のグループです。この標本は、モロッコのフリブガ近郊に位置するウラド・アブドゥン盆地のリン酸塩に富む堆積物から採取されたもので、後期白亜紀の海生脊椎動物が非常に良好な状態で保存されることで国際的に知られる産地です。
およそ6,600万〜7,000万年前（マーストリヒチアン期、後期白亜紀）のもので、歯の長さは40〜50mmです。魚食性の首長竜に特徴的な、細長い円錐形と縦方向の隆条が見られ、魚や頭足類を捕らえるのに適した形状をしています。

This was part of a double order, same as my other review. I’m new to pinning as a hobby in my spare time. From what I can tell they’re good specimens with plenty of variety. My only gripe is that they didn’t come with ID but that wouldn’t stop me from ordering again. Hopefully ID can be added to future purchases.
