Trimeresurus albolabrisは、南アジアから東南アジアにかけて分布する、鮮やかで美しく、医学的にも重要な樹上性のマムシです。インドおよび中国南部から、マレー半島、インドネシア諸島にまで生息しています。鮮やかなエメラルドグリーンの体色に、特徴的な白い側線と下唇の白い鱗を持ち、種小名albolabris（「白い唇」を意味する）の由来となっています。アジアで最も視覚的に象徴的なマムシの一種です。マムシ亜科に属する本種は、眼と鼻孔の間に位置する非常に高感度な赤外線感知器官、頬窩器官を備えています。この器官によって、完全な暗闇でも恒温動物の獲物を驚くほど正確に探知できます。クサリヘビ科の頭蓋骨は、ヘビ類の中でも特に解剖学的に見応えがあり、長く中空のソレノグリファス型毒牙を立ち上げるために回転可能な、非常に可動性の高い毒牙支持上顎骨、可動性に富む方形骨と翼状骨の連結、そして幅広い三角形の頭部形状を特徴とします。これらの特徴はすべて、この標本に明瞭に保存されています。曲線形状で展示されたこの骨格は、本種特有の樹上からの攻撃姿勢を想起させます。しなやかで、身構え、警戒した姿が、アジアを代表するツリーバイパーの一種が持つ、流動的で優雅な捕食者としての魅力を動的かつ展示に適した形で伝えます。科学的にも際立ち、視覚的にも強い印象を与える、真剣なコレクションやアート展示にふさわしい標本です。

This was part of a double order, same as my other review. I’m new to pinning as a hobby in my spare time. From what I can tell they’re good specimens with plenty of variety. My only gripe is that they didn’t come with ID but that wouldn’t stop me from ordering again. Hopefully ID can be added to future purchases.
