이 진품 Carcharocles megalodon 이빨 화석은 38~60mm 크기로 미국 플로리다의 화석이 풍부한 중신세 퇴적층에서 유래했습니다. 거대한 성체보다는 작지만, 이 이빨들은 2300만 년에서 360만 년 전까지 바다를 지배했던 최상위 포식자였던 어린 개체 또는 준성체 메갈로돈의 것입니다. 메갈로돈은 18미터가 넘는 길이로 성장했습니다.
