Heliocypha fenestrata is een van de meest visueel spectaculaire waterjuffers in Zuidoost-Azië — een juweelwaterjuffer binnen de familie Chlorocyphidae, een groep die bekendstaat om het voortbrengen van enkele van de meest briljant gekleurde en iriserende Odonata ter wereld. Verspreid langs heldere, zonovergoten bosbeken in de regio, wordt fenestrata gekenmerkt door zijn levendige metalen lichaamskleur en de opvallende witte of bleke ‘raam’-vlekken op de vleugels die de soort zijn naam geven (fenestrata: met ramen). Mannetjes zijn bijzonder spectaculair en tonen hun vleugelvlekken in territoriale en baltsgedragingen, waardoor ze tot de meest oogverblindende insecten in hun habitat behoren. This was part of a double order, same as my other review. I’m new to pinning as a hobby in my spare time. From what I can tell they’re good specimens with plenty of variety. My only gripe is that they didn’t come with ID but that wouldn’t stop me from ordering again. Hopefully ID can be added to future purchases.
