Uma cabeça de machado neolítica substancial, lascada a partir de jaspe verde vívido, proveniente da região de Ténéré, no norte do Níger. Datada de aproximadamente 4500–6000 anos, esta peça representa a habilidade na fabricação lítica das culturas neolíticas do Saara numa época em que a região sustentava populações humanas prósperas.
O jaspe verde — valorizado pela sua dureza excecional e grão fino — era um material preferido para ferramentas funcionais, especialmente instrumentos de carpintaria. Este exemplar mantém uma forma forte e coloração característica.
