O epíteto específico punctulata significa «finamente pontuado», referindo-se ao característico padrão escamoso do peito da espécie — cada pena termina numa pequena forma crescente escura, criando um efeito preciso e sobreposto semelhante a escamas, que confere à espécie tanto o seu nome científico como os seus nomes comuns. This was part of a double order, same as my other review. I’m new to pinning as a hobby in my spare time. From what I can tell they’re good specimens with plenty of variety. My only gripe is that they didn’t come with ID but that wouldn’t stop me from ordering again. Hopefully ID can be added to future purchases.
