琥珀包裹物是数百万年前被封存在古老树脂中的生物——并非树液。树脂包裹住标本后，便开始自然的聚合过程，先硬化形成柯巴脂，再经过数百万年的埋藏和地质压力，最终转化为真正的琥珀。其结果犹如一扇通往逝去世界的窗口：生物以惊人的细节被保存下来，仿佛只是昨日才被定格于时间之中。
