Euphaea variegata is a richly patterned damselfly within the family Euphaeidae, distributed across South and Southeast Asia along forested streams and rivers. The species name variegata — meaning variegated or varied in colouration — aptly describes the complex and variable wing and body patterning that distinguishes this species from its congeners. Like all Euphaea, it is a robust and relatively large damselfly with warm amber-tinted wing colouration, but variegata is particularly noted for the intricate variation in its markings, making each specimen subtly individual.
