Theopompa servillei (Order: MANTODEA) – A museum-quality praying mantis specimen in A1 condition, expertly dry-preserved and spread for collectors, educators, and natural history enthusiasts.
Theopompa servillei is a robust and rarely encountered praying mantis within the family Mantidae, distributed across South and Southeast Asia. A member of the genus Theopompa — a group characterised by their broad, flattened body form and cryptic bark-like colouration — servillei is a species well adapted to life on tree trunks and bark surfaces, where its mottled brown and grey patterning renders it highly effective camouflage. Seldom seen in collections, it is a specimen of genuine taxonomic interest and a rewarding acquisition for collectors specialising in Mantodea diversity or the cryptic bark-dwelling mantis groups of Southeast Asia.
Perfect for entomologists, natural history collectors, educators, artists, interior designers seeking authentic Victorian cabinet aesthetics, and anyone passionate about the extraordinary diversity of the insect world.
