Flint spires are elongated, pointed blade forms produced through controlled pressure or percussion flaking — a technique demanding considerable skill and an intimate knowledge of the stone's fracture properties. Their precise function is debated among archaeologists, with proposed uses ranging from projectile points and awls to ritual or prestige objects. This was part of a double order, same as my other review. I’m new to pinning as a hobby in my spare time. From what I can tell they’re good specimens with plenty of variety. My only gripe is that they didn’t come with ID but that wouldn’t stop me from ordering again. Hopefully ID can be added to future purchases.
