Neolithic Early Stone Age Tool Quartzite Large Polishing Stone with 3 Grooves | 182×64mm | Natural History Specimen. 4000-6000 BCE.
This is an iteresting polishing stone with 3 grooves. Made of a kind of quartzite, very suitable for polishing and shaping objects made of bone or horn. This stone was completely bush-hammered and brought into an oval shape. Probably the first use of this stone was as a pusher in a grinding stone.
Originating from the southern part of Algeria.
No restorations.
