These Brazilian agate bookends begin as natural geodes — hollow rock formations built up over millions of years as mineral-rich water slowly deposited layer upon layer of silica within volcanic cavities. Each geode is then split and polished through the centre, revealing the intricate banding, sparkling crystal formations, and unique colour patterns hidden within. The result is a perfectly matched pair that is as functional as it is beautiful.
Because each set is cut from a single geode, the two halves mirror each other in pattern while remaining entirely unique in detail. Available in a range of vibrant dyed colours as well as natural undyed agate, these bookends bring genuine geological character to any shelf, desk, or display. No two pairs are ever identical.
