We offer three quality grades to suit different needs and budgets. A1 (Best Quality) specimens are in very fine condition with vibrant colour and minimal imperfections - perfect for high-end displays. A1- specimens have minor imperfections but remain excellent for framing. A2 specimens are damaged or seconds, ideal for educational use or projects where perfection isn't required.
Leaf insects (Phylliidae family) are found in tropical forests across Southeast Asia and Australia. They're herbivorous, feeding on leaves while perfectly camouflaged among them. Females are larger and more leaf-like than males, and they reproduce through parthenogenesis (females can produce offspring without males). Their swaying movement mimics leaves blowing in the breeze - camouflage in motion.
Unlike papered specimens that require relaxing and spreading, these leaf insects arrive with wings already spread in display position. I only have two small complaints. I loved the insects, even though most of them are small. The one I liked best arrived damaged 😅. Apparently, it was still damp and its tail burst, leaking liquid and staining the packaging a little. It's not irreparable, so it's not a big deal. Secondly, the shipping was disappointing because it said it would arrive on a certain day, but it took 15 days longer. But I did love the insects ♥️
