Duttaphrynus melanostictus (Asian Common Toad) – A museum-quality toad skeleton specimen in A1 condition, expertly dry-preserved in a sitting presentation, ideal for natural history collectors, herpetologists, educators, and artists.
Duttaphrynus melanostictus is one of the most widespread and abundant toads in Asia, found from the Indian subcontinent through Southeast Asia to southern China and the Indonesian archipelago. Recognised by its warty skin, prominent black-tipped tubercles, and large parotoid glands, it is a highly adaptable species equally at home in forest, farmland, and urban environments. Presented in a sitting form — replicating the species’ characteristic resting posture with forelimbs braced and hindlimbs folded — this skeleton offers the most naturalistic and display-ready configuration, clearly revealing the bufonid pectoral girdle, robust limb proportions, and fused urostyle with exceptional anatomical precision. A precise and enduring addition to any serious natural history collection or educational display.
Perfect for herpetologists, anatomists, naturalists, natural history collectors, educators, artists, and interior designers seeking authentic specimens with genuine scientific and aesthetic value.

I’ve probably ordered jewel beetle elytra from at least 15 different companies by now so when it comes to quality elytra I know my stuff and the quality that I just received from ArtButterflies is truly excellent. I would say that the average size from the 1,000 elytra package that I received is slightly larger than average, it’s a good mix of sizes. The shipping was also prompt considering that they are located in the UK and I live in Michigan. It took exactly 10 days to receive my order. If I ever need more jewel beetle elytra I will definitely buy from ArtButterflies again. Thank you!
Beautiful, and cute. Was packaged well!
I was kinda bummed out that I got all beetles instead of the mixed specimens I ordered so I messaged the seller and they are making it right. Ill definitely be coming back to this seller in the near future 😁

Great specimen but looks like some weighted object was used to flatten the centipede prior to drying, would like to see a thicker specimen hitting the shelves guys

Specimens arrived in good condition and quickly
I've ordered from this company many times, always great communication and quality. This time there was an issue with the package being opened and tampered with while in transit (no fault to the shop). Joseph quickly made things right and offered to re-ship the missing items.
The beetles are beautiful and well preserved, I can’t wait to pin these!
