Experience the breathtaking majesty of Attacus atlas - the world's largest moth - beautifully preserved and mounted under glass in an elegant wall-hanging frame. This giant Atlas moth display brings the wonder of tropical forests into your home, offering a stunning focal point that combines natural history, art, and scientific fascination.
Atlas moths are named after the Greek Titan who held up the heavens - a fitting tribute to their enormous size and commanding presence. The wings display an intricate tapestry of earthy tones including rust, cream, pink, and brown, accented by distinctive triangular transparent 'windows' that resemble snake heads - a remarkable evolutionary defence mechanism that deters predators.
This framed moth taxidermy fits beautifully in living rooms, studies, bedrooms, offices, galleries, or educational settings. The 11 × 8 inch frame (275 × 200 × 25mm) makes a statement without overwhelming your space. The natural earth tones complement both traditional and contemporary interiors, adding organic beauty and conversation-starting intrigue to any wall.
Atlas moths are found across tropical and subtropical forests of Southeast Asia. Remarkably, adult Atlas moths don't eat - they have no functional mouthparts and live entirely on energy stored during their caterpillar stage. They survive only 5-7 days as adults, existing solely to mate and lay eggs. This brief but spectacular life makes preserved specimens all the more precious and meaningful.
Your framed Atlas moth arrives ready to display or present. The frame measures 11 × 8 inches (275 × 200 × 25mm) and contains one giant Atlas moth specimen professionally mounted under glass. Each display is handmade with care, ensuring quality and uniqueness. Hanging hardware included for immediate wall mounting.
This display offers more than aesthetic appeal - it's a window into tropical ecosystems and evolutionary biology. Perfect for schools, nature centres, or anyone passionate about lepidoptera, the Atlas moth demonstrates remarkable adaptations including mimicry (the wing tips resemble snake heads), sexual dimorphism (females are larger than males), and the incredible diversity of moth species worldwide.
Each frame is 100% handmade and unique. Natural variations in wing patterns, colouration, and size make every display one-of-a-kind. This isn't mass-produced décor - it's a genuine natural history specimen that connects you to the biodiversity of Southeast Asian rainforests.
All our Atlas moth specimens are ethically sourced from sustainable rearing projects that support local communities and forest conservation. These programmes provide economic alternatives to deforestation while protecting wild populations.
Moths have symbolized transformation, mystery, and the hidden beauty of the night across cultures for millennia. This Atlas moth display brings that symbolism into your home, creating a focal point that's both aesthetically stunning and emotionally resonant - a reminder of nature's extraordinary creativity and the importance of conservation.
We stand behind the quality and beauty of every frame we create. If your Atlas moth display doesn't bring you joy, we'll make it right. Our commitment is to deliver natural history art that exceeds expectations and becomes a cherished part of your home for years to come.

Really nice butteflies, thank you!
Der Artikel ist genau so wie beschrieben. Sehr guter Verkäufer. Gut Verpackt und schnell in die Schweiz geliefert. Hier kaufe ich gerne wieder ein. Ein sehr schönes Insekt.
I’ve probably ordered jewel beetle elytra from at least 15 different companies by now so when it comes to quality elytra I know my stuff and the quality that I just received from ArtButterflies is truly excellent. I would say that the average size from the 1,000 elytra package that I received is slightly larger than average, it’s a good mix of sizes. The shipping was also prompt considering that they are located in the UK and I live in Michigan. It took exactly 10 days to receive my order. If I ever need more jewel beetle elytra I will definitely buy from ArtButterflies again. Thank you!
Beautiful, and cute. Was packaged well!
I was kinda bummed out that I got all beetles instead of the mixed specimens I ordered so I messaged the seller and they are making it right. Ill definitely be coming back to this seller in the near future 😁

Have a little issue with my order but was very quickly resolved. Highly recommend and will 100% be ordering again. Thank you so much
Great specimen but looks like some weighted object was used to flatten the centipede prior to drying, would like to see a thicker specimen hitting the shelves guys
Llegaron perfectas!
Thank you for the quick delay and wonderful selection of insects.
Amazing seller great packaging! Would definitely do business again.
Specimens arrived in good condition and quickly
I've ordered from this company many times, always great communication and quality. This time there was an issue with the package being opened and tampered with while in transit (no fault to the shop). Joseph quickly made things right and offered to re-ship the missing items.
The beetles are beautiful and well preserved, I can’t wait to pin these!
